Why I Eat a Raw Food Diet: 2 Main Reasons

Here’s why I eat a raw food diet. A plant based diet offers many benefits in general but there are 2 main reasons I’ve decided to do it with a mostly raw vegan lifestyle. www.rawtropicallivinggear….

  1. I originally went raw (mostly fruits and greens) because it just 'felt' right but one of the amazing benefits was that the IBS that had been making my life a misery just disappeared. Unfortunately I let things slip for various reasons over the last year or so, and my IBS has returned with avengeance. So this is now one of my main motivators to get back on track.

  2. I also favor the raw food diet, digestion wise nothing beats it, currently eating some cooked food because of the cold winter here, I am sure that perhaps is possible to do the raw diet on cold climate but just now, with so many limitations in tropical food well… I am also not afraid of cooked food if needed, but of course not at all ideal and the body knows it. Have a nice day Mr. Albritton!

  3. Hmmm have you ever experimented with IF, eating in a small frame (ex 4-7 pm) on fruits and tender veggies?

That’s how I eat, although I’m wondering if the schedule you’re on right now is better for digestion/elimination? Eating lots of food in a small window may make it harder to digest/eliminate bc body stress of larger meals 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. I completely agree. Eating cooked food slows my digestion and reduces energy. If I am raw all day, usually have 3 bowel movements. If I eat cooked it will be one or two, and the following day one or two.

  5. Damn I wish I could do this, I've been working on becoming vegan now for over a year and pretty much got it licked except I still eat some fish. The thought of raw vegan… holy crap I'm not ready for that !…LOL… Hats off to you

  6. Yes Jack…I can also relate; the standard mixed diet incl animal proteins, dairy, fats, grains, processed food….I think it ignored food combining principles = fermentation, ⬆in unhealthy gut bacteria. Dried out intestines 🔜 toxicity & cellular destruction…then, dis-ease. I have more energy too eating mostly raw…fruit based…greens mostly.

  7. Great video, Jack! I agree☝🏽with what you say about digestion from my experience as well. Great comparison for cooked vs raw digestion. It’s about the point of references I didn’t have before and I try to learn from my eating experiences too.
