  1. I think American Idiot defines punk. Just me apparently. The ENTIRE album isn't JUST making fun of American culture, it threw all of the hypocrisy right back in our faces.

    It forced anyone who listened to no longer be ignorant to what we'd become.

    And people shunned them for it. Alas, what's the definition of punk again? They had a vision and passion and the ended up not just doing a song about it, then put together a story.

    And we wanna be mad they made money off it?

  2. Say what you will about Taylor Swift, but I have a hard time calling her a sellout because she was already successful and had been dabbling in pop before she released 1989. Hell, even her earlier country albums were pretty damn poppy.
