Timelapse Photography Tutorial Part 1 – Timelapse Interval and Exposure Basics

NEW 2017 Timelapse Book: http://www.learntimelapse.com/time-la…
A new detailed time-lapse resource for both new and intermediate DSLR shooters.

Need help setting up for a timelapse project, executing an advanced exposure ramping shot (timelapse holy grail), utilizing timelapse motion control devices or figuring out post production and editing? Let’s connect.

Sorry for the crummy background and even crummier volumes. Bummer on my part. Sorry about that. Total newb mistake. I hope the timelapse tutorial was somewhat helpful anyway (minus that cruddy music) and I’m working on a new timelapse photography tutorial series for release soon (with these lessons learned)

A video tutorial covering time-lapse photography interval and exposure basics using a DSLR camera:
– Avoiding time-lapse flicker with manual mode
– Setting a time-lapse interval
– Creating motion blur
– Priority mode shooting

This is part of an open dialog to experiment and improve our understanding of time-lapse photography techniques and skills, I encourage you to ask questions, experiment, and share the results.

I hope this video was helpful. Subscribe to stay up to date on new video tutorials and examples.

  1. Great tutorial, on my first timelapse I left my White Balance to auto and the speed a bit too high and it looked horrible. The flickering was bad. I think slow shutter speeds and custom white balance or set white balance is really important.
