  1. One that always fascinated me was Theodore Roosevelt's double barrel shotgun and why someone would pay close to a million usd for it. Can understand that it was from an american president but still….you could easily buy a dozen shotguns at normal cost. Think the most rare thing I own might be an original DOOM floppy disk (Macintosh only sadly).

  2. penny black stamps aren't £250,000 to buy ! i have a dozen or so they can be brought for as little as £80, also i have never heard of the penny black been printed red by mistake @ 7.10 thats a penny red on the left worth a few pence.

  3. I have the hardcover 1st American editions of the first two Harry Potter books. When I checked on eBay some people were selling the first book (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) for about $6.000 and up!
