  1. The cameras are pretty comparable in image quality but I was able to pick out the cannon one each time. I have small hands and I struggle to hold a 5d series camera, and so I pretty much can’t upgrade past the 6d in the canon system. Once I graduate I am considering one of the a7 series cameras or even the a9. The 6d mk ii isn’t enough of an upgrade form the mk 1 for me to upgrade and the Sony cameras seem to do well in studio shoots

  2. great video, found this channel by accident on my recommended list… I'm guesssing they're both jpegs? the sony looked more constrasty…. but I love the eye and face focus that the a6500 has, that makes my life a lot easier…. i have the 5dmk4 and the face tracking focus in live view is meh…

  3. IMHO Canon has a little flatter, less contrasty image which actually gives the retoucher more to work with and give the results the campaign is aiming for and for that sole reason I prefer Canon.

  4. Really interesting comparison, here I actually like Sony color more. People often don't like "Sony color" but according to my testing, I think that it is caused more by Sony lenses rather than Sony's image processing, I have had great results using Sigma lenses on A6500 in terms of color reproduction.
    Great channel content as well!

  5. When you use the same settings (aperture, iso and shutter speed), you don't actually have the same exposure between aps-c and full frame sensors. Full frame is brighter. So I was able guess which is which every time 🙂

  6. i both have a6500 and 5dm4. i find that a6500 can catch up with canon in terms of color, IQ when paired with a sigma art lens (i have 18-35), an eoshd color profile for sony and lots of  tweaking in lightroom/photoshop. say about 90% similar because sony misses the 3D look and film feel that  lens reflex mechanism and  large sensor that 5d has.  this is most evident when you do natural lighting portraiture.  maybe do another video comparison utilizing an outdoor natural lighting style, if it's not too much to ask? great content and comparison btw!

  7. Hi I just subscribed to your channel because of the dancing little green guy. btw, great content and is the sound on this video recorded on the zoom videomic or the portable recorder and synched in post?
