  1. Don't know if these movies are underrated or not but I would have included the One-Armed Swordsman movies with Jimmy Wang and David Chiang because they're fucking awesome.

  2. They also forgot about "Fist of the white lotus" "Tai chi master" "iron monkey" "Kung fu killer" "Dragon" "18 bronze men"LoL "Dirty Ho". Man you cats the were born the the 90's know nothing about Kung fu films…

  3. Please more martial arts film lists! How about Top 10 Shaw Brothers Movies? Top 10 Venom Movies? Top 10 Chang Cheh movies? Top 10 Martial arts movies from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. ?

  4. I don't know why "The Master of the Flying Guillotine", and "The Five Venoms" are on this list. Both are extremely well known, and highly regarded. Underrated, describes neither.

  5. I don't necessarily agree with the list for two reasons. First, since Seven Samurai, I don't feel Samurai films qualify as martial arts movies anymore but that's more of an aesthetic choice. Also, I feel Merantau and Kung Fu Killer should have made the list.

  6. Minor objection to calling the five deadly venoms the main inspiration for kill bill when I first watched Lady Snow Blood after watching a Quentin Tarantino interview when he said that was one of the biggest drivers for kill bill. And if you watch it you'll understand.

  7. I am officialy proud! Somebody in watchmojo must be reading my comments. Nice list and I'd strongly recomend both Chocolate and Fighter in the wind. Excellent movies!

  8. Personally one of my favorites is Twin Warriors. Not many people have seen it and it has a great cast with a younger Jet Li along with Michelle Yeoh. Its about two friends who are ex Shaolin monks, part ways as they brush with the ongoing rebellion against the government. The ambitious one rises up to be a powerful military commander, while his betrayed friend resorts to learn the calm ways of Tai Chi. Highly recommend it.
