  1. Couldn't you code a virus with Cas 9 to were the virus infects a certain type of cell and then it destroys the cell and replaces it with an engineered copy

  2. If you want to permanently change some genome in a human, dont you need crispr to enter every cell to change it? How does this work on the bigger scale? What good is it to just edit the genome of a single cell ?

  3. I got mine on eBay and now have blue eyes, blond hair and can live forever, I can even self-indulge to create a zero point energy field thereby turn myself into a Merkaba in order to travel the universe, including time travel, travel to other dimensions, and have superhuman powers. Amazing! The only downside was those stupid instructions, because they weren't worth a fuck because they were written in Cuniform so I had to call up some of my Pleiadians friends from the Pleiades.

  4. why don't we use this currently to end disease, or any form that isn't ideal.. the science is here… dont say money because government funds millions of dollars in medical advances.. whats the reason this isn't currently the biggest trend in the media right now?

  5. what a beautifully crafted video to explain this highly complex technology. the visuals are fantastic. the voiceover is soothing. it amazes me to no end how much creativity people have. and here I am. cannot even pull off a straight line correctly

  6. When CRISPR-Cas9 does not incorporate the "free floating" DNA slice, DNA makes an errant repair. This, leads to non-wanted coding errors, and mosaics. Anyone want to make a shout-out and bring to the present any developments since 2014, that doesn't read "do a google search" ? Best to all…

  7. ☑ Step 1: CRISPR
    ☑ Step 2: Gene drive
☑ Step 3: $150 genetic manipulation toolkits (selling now, btw)
☐ Step 4: Some asshole creating a gene drive that irreversibly turns all humans into The Thing. … probably already in progress …
There is no step 5. Only nightmares.

  8. So your basically sending in something that will cut a DNA strand, then sending in a small segment of artificially produced DNA to repair that cut and change the DNA base sequence so that it makes a desirable gene?
