  1. There's some debate about Gagarin. He may not have been the first….

And a certain Mr William Dampier might have been worth considering for inclusion. He went around the world twice and is almost certainly the first person to do that.

  2. I would argue must people of higher intelligence have that same world view. Since Sagan's pale blue dot only ignorance allows nationalistic mentality to survive. One planet one republic under science for the benefit of all. Obviously all colonies within the Sol system would be part of Earth. Without faster than light all other systems would be basically independent but that's a story for our great great grandchildren to write. Long view people, always long view!

  3. Yuri Gag Arin? Simone, you really need to stop this intentional mispronunciation.

Michael Palin walked around the world in less than a minute in the tv show Pole to Pole.

  4. Kinda surprised you didn't include Ewan McGreggor and Charlie Boorman who went around the world on motorcycles … if you haven't seen the TV series they made out of it "The Long Way Round" its pretty cool (also "The Long Way Down" which is their trip from the northernmost tip of the UK down to the southern tip of Africa). So you could add those to your Top 10 Documentaries.
