PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS | Rock Chick Vogue

Mark shoots alternative model Lauren in the studio, using a vogue inspired lighting set up, to produce a fantastic & punchy Rock chick session.

We join Mark in the studio as he demonstrates how simple styling combined with his one light for one job approach to lighting can produce knock out fashion images. Mark starts with Lauren in a simple white dress against a strong pink background, working the model to get some fun and funky images. He then starts to introduce a few simple props such as a Fur coat and Angel wings to help really liven things up, as well as utilising Elinchrom’s brilliant Skyport system to vary the light groups and produce a real variety of images without having to keep resetting lights.

Equipment: Canon 5DMKII, Canon 24-105mm, 3 x Elinchrom BRX500i, 2 x Elinchrom DLite One, 2 x Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox 90x110cm, 1 x Elinchrom Portalite Square 40cm, 1 x Elinchrom Softlite Silver Reflector 44cm 55°
