  1. So easy to tell who knows thier stuff and who doesn't. Please refrain from comments if you got your information of of a misinformed documentary. Only if you have visited more than one dairy in your life. I respect your opinions, but please make sure you have a little bit of experience. I would argue with a lot of points made here but there are far to many. thank you

  2. "Grains, barley and supplements." Supplements like antibiotics, mineral oil and other pharma chemicals to keep the frothy bloat and acidosis symptoms managed so the cows don't die immediately from the grain induced disease/sickness.

  3. Ffs, kind of annoying hearing people complain about dairy farms/cows…. not all dairys treat their cows like shit, lets face it all animals get taken away from their mum as an infant. Milking them does not kill them, they have around a 2 month break in total every year from milking.

I don't get why people think that the dairy industry is 'so cruel' just from something negative they may have seen/heard. There are such thing as decent people that treat theyre animals fairly and give them the best life that they can. Cows are used for beef, milk, have done for years and will continue to do so, its just a fact of life… not much people can do about it..

And btw, these machines are amazing :)

  4. Still falling for technology!

If every dairy farm purchased this equipment the competitive edge would be lost and there would eventually be no economic advantage.

The reason why the dairy industry is in decline is that people are becoming better informed thanks to the internet age… when you add up the facts and come to a conscious decision many are choosing to reduce their intake of milk and meat.

If you're reading this and have yet to make up your mind on the subject do take some time to view the documentary films:

Many consider these film to be "life changing"!

  5. Good story and all, but the shooting on this piece really stands out from the rest of Bloomberg's pieces.  Amazing stuff.  Whoever the cinematographer was on this deserves some heavy praise.
